Hi, I'm Sarah.
Find out a little about me below.

A space to grow into eveything you already are.
Not one for long bios?
If you're after the short version...
I believe support and understanding can create the conditions for meaningful growth. Everything you'll read below grows from that simple philosophy.
Behind every expression of ourselves is a story.
Growth isn't always about becoming someone different. Sometimes its having the space, safety and understanding to discover more about yourself.
Our experiences can shape how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and the ways we have learned to navigate the world.
Sometimes, in adapting to what we have lived through or what has been expected of us, parts of ourselves can become hidden, silenced or difficult to recognise.
The Hope Cabin can offer a space to explore these experiences, understand the ways they have shaped us, and reconnect with the parts of ourselves that have been there all along.
Who am I?
My name is Sarah and I created The Hope Cabin as an inclusive space for Counselling, Mentoring and Creativity.
I have over 20 years combined experience of supporting people in care and mental health.
My professional journey began in nursing. During that time, I developed a deep appreciation for the importance of connection, compassion and being truly present with another person.
Over time, psychotherapy was the natural step for me. It offered a way of working that aligned closely with how I want to support people. From this I created a space for exploration, understanding, growth and hope.
With a passion for supporting people of all ages, I started my journey in mentoring children and counselling training alongside each other.
I have always been fascinated by how our sense of self develops and evolves throughout life.
In children, this may be growing confidence, curiosity, and self-expression.
In adults, it may be found reconnecting with parts of themselves that may have been overlooked or forgotten along the way.
Alongside my professional qualifications and experience, I bring my own lived experiences of life's twists and turns, challenges and growth. This shapes my passion for inclusion, and the importance of feeling safe, understood, and not rushed into expectations that may not be the right fit for someone.
Whilst every person's story is unique, I believe these experiences help me connect to people in a genuine, compassionate way.
My approach is rooted in kindness, authenticity, and respect. Whether through counselling or mentoring, I strive to build meaningful therapeutic relationships where people feel heard, valued and accepted as they are.
In kindness,
Sarah
